Services
Three kinds of help, one practice.
Families usually arrive with a subject in mind. Sometimes the subject is not the problem. We will say which of these is the honest fit.
01
Academic support
Work that still looks like school: the current specification, the language of the mark scheme, and enough repetition that a method stays after Thursday. Sessions are 1:1 unless a pair or trio is clearly better.
GCSE Maths
Foundation and Higher. Method first, then papers.
GCSE Science
Combined or Triple: Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
11+ preparation
Maths, English, VR and NVR at a humane pace.
KS2 & KS3 tutoring
Curriculum gaps before they harden.
Homework support
The week’s actual work, finished and understood.
Exam preparation
SATs, KS3 assessments and GCSE timing.
02
SEND & SEMH support
This is not a watered-down tutoring hour. It is the work I do in college: observing what sets a pupil off, writing something usable, and keeping academic aims in the room when they are ready. We do not diagnose, and we do not replace CAMHS or an EP.
1:1 tailored interventions
Paced to attention, language and sensory load.
Behaviour support plans
A short written plan school and home can share.
Emotional regulation
Noticing the swell before it becomes a shutdown.
Social skills development
Concrete practice, never a lecture on being good.
Learning readiness
For younger pupils not yet settled for formal work.
03
Special programmes
Shorter pieces of work for a particular season: a child who has lost their nerve, a pupil whose spoken language is behind their thinking, or a holiday that should not be wasted and should not feel like term time either.
Confidence-building
For the child who can do it and will not start.
Communication & language
Vocabulary, spoken sentences, listening.
Holiday booster camps
Half-term and summer blocks with a start and an end.
Programmes can be added or retired through the year. The live list is on the next page.
